In December 2007, five of Britain’s best loved artists agreed to take on a challenge for Sport Relief - to produce portraits of some of today’s sporting heroes.
Godfather of pop art Sir Peter Blake and political caricaturist Gerald Scarfe took on Ricky Hatton; the A-list celebrities’ favourite photographer Rankin captured Zara Phillips, whilst Didier Drogba faced wild child of art Stella Vine.
The Real Art Company are thrilled to assist Sport Relief in the sale of these limited edition prints from which all net profits will be spent by Comic Relief to help vulnerable people in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries. So not only will you own a unique piece of contemporary art, you’ll be helping to change lives for the better.
Orders are restricted to one of each edition per person. The original artworks go under the hammer at Bonhams on 22 October 2008. To find out more about Sport Relief, visit www.sportrelief.com
